Clear, medium ruby to garnet in color; on the nose it's, clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of cherries, almond, and cloves; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of tart cherry, ripe strawberry, tar, and black tea with a long finish. This wine is complex and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it too. — 5 months ago
Forcalla is similar to Pinot Noir but not as good. The nose is an amazing flowery bouquet. But the palette is thin and astringent. Neat to try a rare grape. — 6 months ago

[40% Monastrell, 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon] This Spanish rouge blend from Valencia is highly aromatic, floral, red fruits, nice acid balance, very nice depth but not at all heavy like I’d expect with the grapes in the cepage, lingering finish, lovely. — 5 months ago
[50% Monastrell, 25% Forcaila, 10% Arco, 10% Bonicaire, 5% Rojal] Wildflowers, herbes de Provence, quite exotic aromatically, lovely red and dark fruit flavors, very good balancing acidity which supplies nice freshness, the Monastrell provides a solid structure, longish finish, very nice Spanish red!! — 10 months ago

Life changing. Palomino single vineyard. Perfect acidity, sherry nut ripe fruit flavors. Best combination of acidity and tannins. Wow — 5 years ago
Awesome. First bottle in Burlingame. Opened with an amazing filet and homemade sause. Doyanneven liked it. — 6 years ago
Wine had become an integral part of George Radael's hotel career & inspired him to purchase land in the Napa Valley & Georg Rafael Vineyards was born in 1996, now run with his son Marc. Aged for 10 months in neutral French oak giving this CA wine a French flair. Light straw with stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate crisp apple, peach and Asian pear flavors with vanilla and citrus notes. Lingering, nut like finish ending with a mineral character. Very Nice! — 8 years ago
More earthy aromas on the nose than fruit. Got some red cherry, cedar, maybe pepper, wet stone/soil. Really good just on its own without food, but pairing with Ribeye later. Medium low acid and tannin, keep it nice and balanced. — 5 months ago
Wow! Notes of mushroom and chestnut, rich and oaky, medium body, paired surprisingly well with a lobster ceviche. — 2 years ago
Let’s qualify this statement by saying that I’m not a wine connoisseur. That said, I really enjoyed this wine. Not overly sweet and smooth.. — 4 years ago
Frutado, madera, redondo en boca, muy agradable — 5 years ago

As Sortes from Rafael Palacios is 100% Godello from 50-70 years old vines. This is minerally, fresh but also complex with great length. For an 8 year old white wine this is quite spectacular. — 7 days ago
