94-96. Potente e bilanciato. Molto legno a naso al momento che compre un po’ le ceste di frutta matura che vengono fuori da questo vino. Veramente notevole la maturità del frutto. Forse anche grazie ad appena il 26% di Merlot. Ma i Cabernet sono intensi e maturi. Lungo ed equilibrato sul finale. — 20 days ago

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 1996
Medium garnet , medium garnet rim . Aromatic , and slightly funky nose , with herbal, cedar , sous bois , truffle . On the palate this is slightly strict , quite high acidity , slightly gritty tannin , mix of red and dark fruits , herbal tinges , tobacco and earthy finish . Quite linear and elegant . Perhaps slightly rustic , not particularly ambitious but classic ‘gentleman’s club’ claret. Though this is showing quite a lot of tertiary character it is still drinking well , drink now and over the next 5 or so years — 10 days ago

Excellent excellent. Decanted for two hours before being consumed and then enjoyed over next 3+. Weighty and very heady. Dark rich fruit aged but not dusty. I feel this wine is in the zone. — 2 days ago

Premier Grand Cru Classé Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 1989
Quite light spices , coffee , sous bois , herbal hints . On the palate this has good density and spicy , menthol , dark coffee stained fruit , some slightly gritty tannin . It comes across as quite ripe but with balanced acidity and quite good menthol tinged length . This was served blind from a half bottle . I was putting this in the 80s and Napa , not Bordeaux! This had to do with the texture and quite ripe , generous fruit profile . Drinking perfectly now , I wouldn’t wait any longer — 10 days ago

Puro ed espressivo. Intenso ed elegante.
La miglior maturità riscontrata in tutti i vini assaggiati fin’ora.
Blend 54 CS 43 M 4 PVerdot 1 CF.
Al naso espressivo con frutta e suolo. Al palato fine, molto naturale e altrettanto preciso e pulito. Finale caldo e avvolgente.
Lascia in bocca la natura del luogo.

+2 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A prodigious purplish dark ruby red color. On the nose: intoxicating nose of dark fruit, musty forest floor, cigar wrapper, smoke, worn leather. Taste: Wow! Juicy, structured, layered, silky, mouthcoating wine with plum, blackberry, vanilla oak, cocoa, earth, and a baking spiced iron dark chocolate long finish with a slight tannic kick. YUM! 2010 is a vintage to leave to your children if you bought this at 50 years old forward. This is a 50-60 year wine with proper storage.
The nose shows nice ruby, fruits of; dark cherries, cherries, strawberries with a dark currant center, blackberries, black raspberries & raspberries. Chocolate mousse, melted, milk chocolate, light caramel, moist sage, warm, slightly sweet dark earth with withering dark & red florals.
The palate is warm, inviting & beautiful. Easy to drink. Dark cherries, cherries, strawberries with a dark currant center, blackberries, black raspberries & raspberries. Red cola/licorice, dark chocolate, melted, milk chocolate, light caramel, moist sage, warm, oak barrel shavings, moist, dark earth w/ dry leaves, celery, used leather, moist tobacco, with withering dark & red florals. Perfect acidity with an excellently balanced, nicely knitted, perfect tension & structure with elegance for days the falls evenly on ripe fruits & soft earthiness.
