Needs a little bit of air. Red fruit that at first seems over extracted and then mellows a bit to reveal some mushroom earthy notes — a month ago
Nice light red slightly chilled. Hotel Esencia. Last night. With chateaubriand for two with mashed potatoes and French fries and creamed spinach — 2 months ago
Double decant and pour(decent chunky/fine sediment). A striking still dark purplish ruby red color. On the nose: A big inviting nose of dark fruit, tobacco, forest floor, stewed meat, minty menthol, floral. Taste: smooth, layered, savory wine with a little plum/blueberry, chocolate, earth, pepper, dried herbs, minerals, and a nice medium plus finish with a little tannic kick. YUM! Still very drinkable and should hold for more years of drinking pleasure. A Heidi Barrett wine...popped to fire up for a Heidi & Bo Barrett wine dinner next week. — 17 hours ago
