Medium ruby garnet , quite thin garnet rim . Quite open and inviting tobacco , red plum , cassis , earthy hints . On the palate this has good balance and a mineral , herbal hints, along with the mix of red and dark fruits . This has good fresh acidity and grippy but polished tannin . Good length and is showing quite well . Better in 5 or so years and will last well a further 10 . At Vinous Icons NY , Pier 60 , Feb 2025 — 19 days ago
+2 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment) A beautiful deep ruby red color. On the nose: Expressive nose captivates with dark red fruit, espresso, chocolate, floral, menthol, sweet tobacco. Taste: rich, round, intense wine with dark cherry/blackberry, minerals, cedar, tobacco, and a peppery-pencil lead-dried herb long dry finish. YUM! A brilliant wine just entering its drinking window with time to go. — a month ago

Medium light garnet , terracotta with terracotta rim . Quite herbal and cedary, light sous bois , earthy . On the palate this has quite fresh acidity , slightly herbal character, light sous bois and tobacco notes, grafite , quite light tannins . Alright length and balance . Drink now , probably would have been better some years (decade ?) ago . However quite commendable for a difficult vintage from a petit chateau . Tasted at Hedonism Wines , London . — a month ago
Chateau Larrivet Haut-Brion, 2019
Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux
Overview
A classic 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc blend from one of the Left Bank’s most admired estates. The 2019 vintage is widely regarded as an excellent year in Bordeaux, and this wine shows both richness and balance.
Aromas & Flavors
Blackcurrant, redcurrant, and plum on the nose, accented by notes of tobacco leaf and sautéed herbs. The palate follows with cassis, dark berries, and a subtle touch of spice, layered with earthy complexity.
Mouthfeel
Full-bodied and well-structured with ripe, velvety tannins. Balanced fruit and freshness carry through to a long, fragrant finish.
Verdict
A polished, harmonious Pessac-Léognan that already shines but will reward another 10–15 years of cellaring. A standout from an exceptional Bordeaux vintage.

Alive, enjoyable, and at an ideal time to enjoy!! Plenty of dark fruit, cedar, vanilla, spice - still plenty of soft tannin to provide structure. — 9 days ago
