Brooding, packed with firm tannin and bramble dark fruit. Perhaps a tad young and adolescent, but great with Bavette. — 5 months ago
Perfectly balanced. Subbed with hot smoked salmon, which otherwise is hard to pair with. I cannot remember a better white wine. $47. — 7 months ago
Cherry, cinnamon, rose petal. Smooth in its transitions. Great wine! — 3 months ago
Lovely red. Smooth. Slightly chilled. Recommended by Donnette. j had rack of lamb M had steak — 4 months ago
I tasted this same 2010 about a year ago and wondered it would improve with further aging. I think the answer is yes.
This time around it shows more layered profile, with bruised apple, honeysuckle, beeswax, citrus peel, and wet stone leading the nose. The palate is broad and textured. Acidity has shaved off some hard edges, yet remains focus and intense. Engaging long finish. — 7 months ago

2020 vintage Drinking well in December 2025. The minimal oak was not bothersome. $40 — 4 months ago
Pretty remarkable. I’ve never been able to try an old one of these before, but I’ve always understood. They aged like champs and this thing was crazy. It tasted and looked like it could’ve been bottled last week. If you have any that have been well stored there’s absolutely no rush. — 6 months ago

Aromas of kirsch, dried cherry, old wood, leather, and warm spice lead into a broad, supple palate. The fruit is ripe and generous, with earthy undertones and hints of black olive and dried herbs. Structure comes more from fine tannins than visible acidity, giving a smooth, gently weighted flow rather than lift. The finish is savory and persistent, marked by a candied touch.
A nice traditional CdP, but it does not show the fruit purity and freshness that’s one of the hallmark of the great 16’ vintage. — 2 days ago
