Château La Fleur Morange

Mathilde Saint-Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2022

2022 Mathilde. This is made from the vineyards of La Fleur Morange that are not classified as Grand Cru Classé. A beautiful wine in its own right that is hard to beat for value for money. — 4 months ago

Château La Croix Montlabert

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

2020 vintage. I didn't taste them alongside, but the 2020 seems to have more tension and complexity compared to the very good 2019. — a month ago

Château Barde-Haut

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2016

The nose on this is stunning. Big and black fruit with a dollop of tar. The pallete follows the nose with blackberries, plum, dusty rock, and dark soil. An enjoyable balance of fruit and earth. Steak wine! This is excellent.

Just curious Dave, as a non native English speaker. I was always under the assumption that palette is something that a painter uses and the palate is what you use to describe the tasting sensory system. I see palette more often used in wine descriptions. Can you enlighten me?

You are correct! And I, as an English speaker, am known to misspell frequently 🤦‍♂️ Palate is correct! @Jan A
