Post dinner party notes. Third bottle I’ve had of this and by far the best yet. Amazing. Such a complex nose, with roasted herbal notes, dark spicy fruit, earthy mineral iodine notes Tannins just about completely resolved. Length and depth for days. Wow. — 2 months ago
My review may not be beneficial to all because of my drinking style. I drink the bottle myself over the course of a week. With this Freakshow Cab Sauv, my review changed from the first to last glass. The first glass was strong, thin, and barely enjoyable. With subsequent glasses tasted a developing sweetness and thickness. I realize this is counter intuitive to wines normally being best when being allowed to breathe a bit after opening. Just wasn’t the case for me with this one. Rating was a 6.5 to start and a 9.5 at the end I’m grading with a curve to give it an overall 9. Will buy again based on Freakshow reputation and hope for a better early result. — 3 months ago

Weeknight treat. Medium body, creme brulee on nose and some custardy finish but great acid. Just so many great things to love in this chardonnay. I still prefer Ma Belle Fille — 5 months ago
The 2020 vintage of Michael David Freak Show is a blend for everyday drinking. A blend of Syrah (appx 54%), Petite Sirah (appx 42%) and Souzao (appx 4%), it is a balanced, fruit-forward red wine with notes of dark berries and plum. Although it does not provide the complexity and tannic structure of a Napa or Sonoma Cabernet, neither does it come with the same price tag.
I recommend this wine, but just find the circus-themed bottle label a little freaky. — 6 months ago
Really good cab sav someone gave us for engagement, not bitter at all but still rich (in a good way) — 5 days ago
I would absolutely buy this one again! Especially at the $20-$25 price point.
Delicious blueberry and rhubarb pie on the nose. Silky tannins with low acidity, and a long vanilla finish with mild oak. Well balanced and very enjoyable. — 2 months ago

If you fancy a bit of butter then this one might be right up your alley. It's not a butter bomb though, and it's pretty well made. The nose is buttery but shows as well nice lemony and oaky notes. The palate shows some good acid drive, and that acid drive is what makes it a great tasting experience, actually. Nice buttery touches and texture all along, some nice lemony notes, a bit of grip in the rear. It's quite wide and ample but not as thick as what I was expecting. The finish is not very long and shows some oaky notes that make a come back, among other buttery and lemony notes. It's well made, clearly overpriced here (they ask for 50+ USD in equivalent local currency before discount) but it's a nice, enjoyable pour even on its own. — 3 months ago

This is what new world should be. Pepper fruit oak. — 5 months ago
So much to say about this bottle. Its profile, its history, its growing rarity. And the fact that it was made at the very peak of The Patriarch’s era…
Then there is the occasion. A wine you cellar and protect, waiting patiently for the one moment worthy of all its allure.
A wine from a cooler Napa Valley, so evident in the glass it becomes mesmerizing. The freshness, the tension, the quiet authority; everything speaks of a time and place in Napa which no longer exists.
Yes, this is the kind of bottle that stays with you, not just as a wine, but as a memory. — 6 months ago
Smooth slight pineapple but not too tart. Buttery, but not too sweet. Refined. — 5 days ago
Apparently not a Tuesday wine — 2 months ago
Great as always but I am going to age the other remaining for a couple of years, great mix of minerality , acid and cream mouthfeel. Get the lemon custard and some other white stone fruit — 4 months ago
Great flavor, spice, smooth — 5 months ago
Can’t rate. Maybe the wine is in a weird spot or my palate was affected by the 4 sessions of snow shoveling, but if I had a blindfold on I would have thought this was a red. Somewhat restrained on the palate with lots of steel elements and some earth. Color was great, as was the cork, so must be me. Usually one of my favorites! — 5 months ago
Really nice starting to get some secondary flavors. Overall enjoyed it. — 6 months ago

Still plenty of structure, color was ruby not brown. Amazing complexity for a 79. What a treat! — 4 days ago
