Drinking so well still! I was expecting a tired wine but this was pulsating with primary and tertiary notes. A beautiful nose rose easily from the glass with sour cherry, raspberry, balsamic, leather, and sandalwood, with subtle notes of crushed stones. 2021 vintage. A bit of everything. Esteemed producer. Excellent nose. Front-palate richness. Mid-palate power and presence. Pleasantly astringent and beyond substantial finish. I usually eschew Barbera d'Alba for the resto list but couldn't deny this one. Picked up two cases and may pick up more to have laying around for 1.5-2 years.
