This wine is in one word, intoxicating. Fantastic nose of brambles, fresh blackberry, red currant, lavender, grilled beef, wood smoke, freshly cracked black pepper. Palate with tight tannins, med + acidity, fresh and tart blackberry, blueberry, sauvage. Spectacular value at 22 usd. Needs 5 years, but this is why I drink wine. @Lyle Fass — 4 months ago
With oysters. Perfect combo. — a month ago
All the strength of a St Emelion merlot (70%) with the smoothness of 30% cab franc. Needs some air, but then nice balance of cherries, a little oak, some vanilla. Drinks well on it's own or paired with meat, maybe a bolognese, pizza, burgers. — 2 months ago
So interesting. Always appreciate this 100% Pinot Noir blend from three different reserve vintages (one at least ten years old). Bright golden color. Distinct umami aromas along with hints of green apples, white flowers and red berry fruit. Flavors of red cherries and strawberries, soy sauce, apricot and mushrooms. Beautiful note of mineral tension on the long, persistent and lingering finish. Fine stream of tiny bubbles and a creamy mousse. Outstanding freshness, complexity and length. Bright and clean acidity. Quite intense yet very delicate at the same time. Simply fantastic and totally unique. Beautiful basket-style packaging. Thanks for bringing this special New Year’s Eve bottle, Kase! — 3 months ago
Full bodied, good fruit, fine acidic finish. Enjoyed it with calamari. — a month ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and herb notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and lemon citrus with notes of honey and spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity, nice balance ending with lemon citrus and mineral character. Good now! — 3 months ago
