2017 vintage. Last tasted 8.8.24 (9.4), 3.15.22 (9.4) and 8.27.21 (9.4). IIRC…95% Merlot, 5% Cab Franc. Medium body. Lost a little weight and oak influence. Consequently, many of the overt, feminine influences so noticeable the last few years, have retreated a tad. More prominent dark chocolate and earthy tones currently. The new red BDX Coravin pour at $50 a glass. 5.7.26. — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 1998 pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with positively charming notes of plum, brambles, grilled Poblano pepper, pipe tobacco, dried mixed flowers, a mix of organic and inorganic earth, fine wood and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. This is about as traditional as it gets and was simply brilliant tonight. Squarely in the zone. Drink now through 2038+. — 18 days ago
This was fairly tight & needed some air to show mostly black fruits, full bodied with notes of earth, cedar, sweet spices, graphite, mocha & tobacco — 25 days ago
The manager At Coopers Landing, Doug, brought this wine in and was excited about it, so we tried it! Went well with our Mediterranean salad and redfish dinner on the patio! $50 at restaurant. — 25 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2017 “Les Saint Georges” pours a deep ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, red flowers, sous bois, mushroom, and exotic spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. The nose alone is worthy of songs. Drink now through 2037. — 18 days ago

I loved the flavor and finish of this. Great smell and one of the few deeper reds I can drink without food—but also thoroughly enjoyed it with our surf and turf dinner. Would buy again for a dinner party wine. — 2 days ago
