Incredibly lucky to even taste this, way outside of what I'm familiar with. First thing i noticed is how concentrated the nose is, extremely aromatic, red fruit with a creamy note and oak that is perfectly integrated. Normally I can smell when an ABV is this high but not with this wine. I can't believe how perfectly balanced it is - tannins, fruit, acidity, oak is all the perfect exact amounts so that nothing stands out on its own, but it has such concentrated flavor that everything stands out at the same time — 23 days ago

Dark tannins, cherries, fig jam and long minerals # — 9 days ago
Vigna Nastagio. Although the wine was satisfactory, it did not meet my expectations. I had previously had a more enjoyable experience with other vintages. The dominant tannic notes were even noticeable in an 8-year-old wine. — a month ago

Year in, year out, this is my fav Chianti Classico. To me it captures all what I look for in a good every day Sangiovese - freshness, a bit of tannic edge, juicy flow, a savory sweetness to the fruit. And food friendliness!
Enticing nose with red cherries, a bit of wet undergrowth & turned earth, a bit of tomato leaf, a flowery whiff. Joyful!
Medium bodied on the palate with great energy & flow. The tannins present, a touch rustic, but in a nice way, the acidity juicy & vibrant. Nice depth and long finish.
So drinkable but also has some seriousness to it.

Leaning into a distinctly understated style, this vintage keeps things subtle rather than overwhelming. On the nose, it offers a gentle mix of dried herbs, earth, and soft red cherry. On the palate, the wine feels graceful and light, focusing entirely on proportion rather than heavy extraction or punchy concentration. While the tannins remain firm, it ultimately feels like an elegant wine where you just expected a bit more.
The wine is perhaps at it's quieter window...well-made and structural, but lacking the mid-palate fireworks or dramatic nose you expect at that price point and prestige. — 25 days ago
Pours a medium, slightly faded garnet rim, opening with an intense and highly expressive nose showing advanced tertiary evolution. On the palate, it exhibits a firm, full-bodied structure driven by ripe, integrated tannins and a distinctly mature, savory depth. The texture remains smooth, carrying through to a finish with harmonious spices—a fully evolved bottle to be consumed in the very near future. — 5 hours ago
Dark, lush fruits. Soft tannins, but a peppery finish. Great with my Veal Milanese. — 14 days ago

Old standby. I guess i haven't written about the 2022. This wine is softer than previous bottlings. Typical Sangiovese flavors, though the tiny bit of Cabernet Franc is apparent. Cherry, sweet tobacco, a bit heavy on florals, lower tannins but a lingering finish.
