Thicker than 2021, but just as lifted. A Kabinett of light and air, with enough density to carry you. The acidity was joy itself. The mouthfeel was silk in motion. There's something about the 2023s, they have more breadth, more echo. Like the 21s got stretched sideways in all the right ways.
I didn't take notes. I just sat there. And felt better after a brutal day. Because sometimes, at the end of a brutal day, all you need is a Steinmetz Kabinett to remind you that life still has sweetness. — 4 months ago
Nose: powdered minerals. Lemon perfume. Gorgeous. Filligree.
Palate: moselian. Sweet lemon. Mineral. Delicious.

Another gem in the @Lyle Fass book! 🤟🏻 — 4 months ago

I didn’t take any notes on this one, but it stood out for its full throttle intensity, married to supreme elegance, with a textured mouthfeel. Long, resonant finish. First try with this bottling, and I would have purchased two additional cases had I known how brilliant it is. Will back up the truck next year. Hard to believe how open this is at this age, and I don’t know how I will be able to hold on to these for the long haul. — 2 months ago

Insane concentration for a Mosel wine. Has all the slate minerality, complex white and yellow florals, tropical fruit ie guava pineapple; has the signature Steinmetz searing acidity (in a good way) but with a density similar to a Pflaz GG. Spectacular. This is a top wine. @Lyle Fass — 2 days ago
