big petrol right out of the gate - greenish shimmering hued, then all kinds of lanolin, herbal & gooseberry - SB notes, also some orchard fruit, but fairly austere overall. Palate was lean angular razor sharp even at this age and we let it warm up too. Bone dry, racy acidity, mouth puckering finish... Wifey liked it, I didn't but could appreciate it for what it is. — 15 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2013 Gaisberg pours a brilliant yellow color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with fabulous notes of stone fruits, ripe tropical fruit, lemon, petrol, and a mix of sedimentary minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and powerful. At this point in its evolution, the 2013 Gaisberg is a bit of a showstopper. After a full day of really amazing wine, it got everyone’s attention in the right way. All of its pieces are in the proper place. Drink now through 2037+ — 2 months ago
Definitely taste the green apple. Dry, high acidity, high carbonation, but still a little sweet. Impressed! — 5 months ago

Nose: smoke ? Pretty. A hint of gruner.
Palate: good fruit. A bit round. Good juiciness.
