Gee forgot first one opened only over a year ago and this is it. What immediately stood out is the elegance and rounded complexity and all around goodness that I took note of but didn’t dwell on as it paired so well with Evan’s pork belly. What a surprising wine lamented as Cute de Rhone, but what a pedigree — 5 months ago
Fans of this! Rich and tannic but not overwhelming! — 6 months ago
Anise and plummy with some earthiness…so good! — 6 months ago
Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, black cherries, violets, and baking spices; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of raspberries, blueberries, and fresh asphalt with a long finish. Overall, this wine is complex and intense. I rate this wine as very good. — 6 months ago

2023 vintage. Screw cap. Trader Joe’s selection. Have picked up a few bottles of this every year over the last decade just to have as haus wine-esp during the holidaze. This is the best vintage I’ve had. Structure. Fruit. Accessibility. It has rolled at $7.99 a bottle as long as I can remember. Grabbed a bottle without checking the price but assuming it’s still $10 or less. Drinking like it’s a $25 bottle. Picking up more this week. 11.18.28. — 7 months ago
Wonderful with two different duck entrées. — 8 months ago

Aromatics of new leather and dried fruit. Not your average Côtes du Rhône as you would expect from Chateau de Beaucastel. More full bodied than expected to go with our chicken dish. Far richer than Guigal’s version of Côtes du Rhône. Had my last bottle 11 weeks later on 27th February 2026 with consistent notes. — 7 months ago
Rough - in a good way. Very dry, short finish. A pepper, clove, dark chocolate and mature fruit. — 7 months ago

Had this a few days ago. Really delicious. Balanced, nice fruit. Hard to dislike this, especially for $20. Unfortunately I can’t recall the vintage. — 5 months ago
